Your Privacy is Important to Us!

Our Commitment to Privacy
On AAHSA.org, ensuring your privacy is very important to us. To better protect your privacy we provide this notice explaining our policy on online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used. This notice is available for your review/reference on any page where personal information is requested.

The Information We Collect
This policy applies to all information collected or submitted on the AAHSA Web site (AAHSA.org). On some pages, you have the ability to make requests or register to receive materials. On these pages, the following types of personal information could be collected:

How We Use Information
On AAHSA.org, we use the information you provide/submit online only to complete that transaction. We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to complete that transaction. The information we collect is shared with your local state association (and vice versa) We use return e-mail addresses solely to answer the e-mails we receive. These collected e-mail addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties. You can subscribe to a variety of communications (newsletters, listservs, mailing lists) on our Web site. Information you submit on our Web site will not be used for any other purpose but to complete the transaction.

On AAHSA.org, we do use non-identifying (anonymous) and aggregate information to better design our Web site and share with advertisers. For example, we may tell an advertiser that X number of individuals visited a certain area on our Web site, or that Y number of men and Z number of women filled out our registration form, but we NEVER disclose any personal information that could be used to identify private individuals.

Finally, we never use or share the personally identifiable information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the ones described above without also providing you an opportunity to opt-out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses.

Our Commitment to Data Security
To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

How You Can Access or Correct Your Information
AAHSA members can visit the online Member Directory, or contact memberservices@aahsa.org, and we will gladly e-mail your information to you for review. We use this procedure to better safeguard your information. Members can correct factual errors in their personally identifiable information by sending us a request via email.

To further protect your privacy and security, we will also take reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting access or making corrections to your personal information.
